Thank you for your kindness and patience in these past few weeks as we got used to new routines and worked out technology problems. We are so proud of all our students and the great work you've done during this time❤️ Remember that we are here for you if you need anything at all, even if it's not about school! We might not know how to solve every problem, but we can help you find somebody who does 😊

Online Learning 

Week 4: April 27 – May 4th

Here are your tasks for our fourth week of online learning. You can do them in any order that you would like. The approximate time to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week. Further instructions for students are in our Google Classroom. If you need any further clarification with these tasks please do not hesitate to email me.

Language Arts / Inquiry / Well Being	Time- 3.5 hours
Journal Entry ·       Read the article “The Power of Magnets,” highlight important information, and create jot notes to hand in. This assignment must be turned in to your teacher.	(1 hour)
Independent Reading ·       Watch the video on “Making Inferences”  ·       Pick a book from Raz Kids, an online book or a book you have at home and make inferences about the story prior to reading	(1 hour)
It’s A Tiger Story Response ·       Watch the video read-aloud of It’s A Tiger and reflect with a mindful moment.	(30 min)
Word Work ·       Fill in the blanks using adjectives, nouns and verbs to finish Ms. Meier’s story. This assignment must be turned in to your teacher.	(30 min)
Editing Practice ·       Edit Ms. McBride’s writing for capitals, punctuation and sight words. This assignment must be turned in to your teacher.	(30 mins)

Math	Time 1.5 hours
2-D Shapes Review ·       Watch the video “2-D Shapes Review” and find an example of each shape in your home. This assignment must be turned in to your teacher.	(30 min)
Math Word Problem ·       Read and solve. Will you need to solve using addition? Or subtraction?	(30 min)
Prodigy ·       Explore Prodigy: Explore Prodigy to build number sense.	(30 min)

Thanks for another week of online learning with us! 

WEEKLY WEDNESDAY GOOGLE MEETS

Every Wednesday there will be a whole class Google Meet! Ms. Meier's will be from 10AM-11AM every Wednesday and Ms.McBride's will be from 10:30-11:30AM every Wednesday!

These times will remain the SAME each week! We are asking ALL students to attend the scheduled Google Meets on Wednesdays only! We will begin teaching whole group lessons during that time and would love to have whole class participation when possible. :)

The additional Online Office hours are entirely optional. These Office Hours are simply additional drop in times for any questions students may have but please know, it is not mandatory your child attends the office hours.
